On my way to the lake with my newborn baby and our Rottweiler-Shar Pei mix, Jager. When I went to grab his leash, I realized I had left it at home. Needing to manage both a 100-pound dog and a stroller, I improvised—tying my beach towel to his collar and using it as a leash to get us safely across the highway and down to the beach.

After playing in the water, Jager was soaked and covered in sand. I tied the towel back onto his collar and used it to dry him off before heading home. On the drive back, I couldn’t stop thinking—why wasn’t there a leash that also worked as a towel? After searching everywhere and finding nothing like it, the idea was born.
